Sophie!

So I have skipped a few days bullocks to you.
Over the weekend I went to another demonstration (this time as a relay for life cancer walk) and I think it went really well. My friend Jamie and I did a duo-jujitsu (2 1/2 min of throwing each other around and epic battle cries ending in her being dramatically stabbed with her own fake knife) and there was some board breaking and kata and randori. Overall I think it went super great and the kids felt really accomplished (they all got to break something). Carly K was there and we wandered a bit a had a "frozen fruit slush" (delicious) and discussed the logic behind dating someone because you both sorta liked a movie (the DJ was playing that song about "Breakfast at Tiffany's"). Then I worked with the same power obsessed d-bags with no lives as I usually do.

I hung out with Kyle (yes the bearded one who loves Jesus that I dated with the awkward/amusing end to the relationship) on Friday for a bit and he gave me a penguin named Einstein that he won from the guess your age/weight guy. Kyle is awkward and gives me stuff for no reason, but he is my friend and also sad and lonely and a workaholic so I don't know what I should do in this situation. Maybe if I continue not worrying about it the problem will fix itself.

Also my mom got a new KITTEN!!!!11
After several arduous and lengthy discussions on what her name should be, in which I shot down a lot of cliche and brain dead type names like Midnight (she's a black cat), Zoey (everyone's ugly kid/the name of about three people's dogs within the block), and Puffy (wtf!? Courtney I hate you more than ever!) we settled on Sophie, I picked the name because my other ideas got shot down (I wanted to name her Polyhymnia after the Greek muse of lyric poetry but no one would go for it) it is was a combination of Sappho and Zoey (really hate that name soooo much) and since no one else likes lesbian/greek poets from the early 300s I thought compromise would be best. Enough about that she is ADORABLE! would post a picture but I have no camera. She is all black with slightly darker stripes all over and giant blue blue blue eyes. I don't think I can stop cuddling and playing with her even if I wanted to. Except she is dangerously small, not medically she just hides under things. Today we were gone to get ice cream for twenty minutes and when we came back we discovered that she had gotten into an open grate and was trapped in the ventilation system of my house. . . so I being the only person able to use a screwdriver dismantled a few parts of our basement ceiling and moved a couch in order to retrieve her. She was powder gray for a bit afterward.

Also my hookah is almost here I am so excited.

Typing around Sophie,
She's adorably on my laptop.
