A little French, a little English
Look at the opening of an email I got:
Hope everyone is gearing up for the Winter season! Luckily it's not all about cold weather and gray skies....think raclette, hot cocoa, vin chaud, Holiday markets, lights on blvd Haussmann.....
It's like when I hear Bout chou speaking his mix of English and French these days. "Mommy, pas casse ma petit suisse (don't crush this special yougurt he likes). Mommy, sugar on ma petit suisse."
Yes, we're going to have raclette and vin chaud this season, and see the holiday markets on the Champs Elysees. And we're going to an English-language Christmas party the same day as we attend a "gouter" (four o'clock snack) with French family.
