Dammit, sore throat has returned and I feel awful.
Which means I had to miss the PirateFest Alum barbeque at Ft. Desoto today. :( :( :(

So unhappy. I miss so many of those people so much. I really wanted to go.
At least I was feeling well enough last night to go out. stonebear1970 hosted a birthday party at his place last night, and I have to say, it was the only party I remember having gone to where there was actual pudding wrestling in the backyard.
Not kidding.
Highly amusing. And I have to accept some responsibility, as llyr_deshmiriai and I volunteered to bring the pudding mix when the idea was jokingly proposed at first by another invitee to the party a couple of weeks ago. At least they supplied the wading pool.
No, I did not venture bravely forth into the pudding myself. Despite the fact it was vanilla.
As far as I'm concerned (and out of respect to the viewing audience), my relationship with pudding wrestling is to be solely as a spectator and not a participant.
There was also a kevlarandchrome and xfyresprytex present at the party for awhile, which made me very happy indeed.
As well, as some surprising... *ahem* ... attention (read: being chewed on and receiving some PG-13 rated grabbage) by certain pretty people.

Despite the seeming debauchery, it was all in all a fairly laid-back event and it was nice to get out of the house after being all but bedridden all week.
However, it would seem that perhaps I was a bit too ambitious, as I now feel like ass again.
Not as bad as I did when I was first hit with this damnable cold, but still all out of sorts and icky.
Hoping this passes sooner than later, as I'd like to get on with my life.
At least I'm working from home these days, so I manage to do my job during the week despite being sick.
There are many possibilities for travel coming up in the future, it seems, but I'll keep the details of them very vague until more is certain.
One thing is certain: Things promise to be changing quite a bit, and perhaps sooner than later. <-- *not being ominous*
