Victory! Vindication! Veneration!
Victory: I beat Goliath in this battle.
Vindication: Goliath tried to vilify me, but my victory exonerates me.
Veneration: I owe eternal gratitude to the labor movement of yesterday and today for paving the way for my victory.
Ever fear taking a stand because you must fight alone? Learn from me: You can win.
My coworkers alienate me, but my heroes inspire me.
For whatever reason, Accenture admitted fault and thus agreed to a settlement. I get what I want and more!: Accenture must post physical and electronic notices that we have the right to unionize and that it violated this right! I didn’t know the National Labor Relations Board would require electronic notices, so I cheer!
I took a risk and won this battle. Because our labor movement forefathers and foremothers saved us, I pay them back by paying it forward. I am planting a seed, so the next person, hopefully someone far more persuasive than I, can unionize the majority.
Accenture calls itself a meritocracy, but unlike in the Good Book, the “diligent do not prosper” at Accenture, so I resist and subvert! Warning, all non-meritocracies, I seek to overthrow you!
Although Accenture may still fire me and thus require me to file another unfair labor charge, today I rejoice!
Long live the labor movement, so we can create a future where “the diligent prosper!”
