Wow, people were sympathising with Daly? I missed those type of comments and quite glad I did!

My order would probably be:
1. Black Museum
2. Hang the DJ
3. USS Callister
4. Arkangel
5. Crocodile
6. Metalhead

I agree that Metalhead was tense and well done but it didn't really go anywhere, and Crocodile was fairly unpleasant (and also I found it a bit unlikely that Mia would go so fast from wanting to report the original crime to willing to do anything to cover it up). I probably liked Hang the DJ because it had a positive outcome (like San Junipero last series) which is unusual for Black Mirror, and I always like clever things like the references to previous eps like in Black Museum!

They were practically the first responses I come across at Tv Time, and there were a lot of similar sentiments being expressed on reddit as well, I was really taken-aback :( I just don’t see how he was being bullied and treated all that badly, he wasn’t being treated like the boss sure, but that was down to his own failure to assert himself, it didn’t seem like any of them had malicious intentions in the way they interacted with him ( ... )

I didn't think this was the strongest of BM seasons, but I still bloody adored it.

For me nothing has really topped 'White Bear' and 'White Christmas'.

They were my favourites as well, along with Shut Up And Dance, I love the ones with the really bleak endings lol

It was such a good season! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it. XD

My favourite was Hang the DJ - I thought the actresses were so good, they really hooked me. I didn't realise there'd been such a silly response to USS Callister. People are weird.

I definitely did like Hang The DJ, I think it was just a case of the reviews building up my expectations way too high for it

And yeah I was shocked at the people sympathising with Daley over Nanette and the others, I thought the episode couldn’t have been any clearer that he was a really monstrous person who was torturing real people, but I guess some people never got past Daley being framed as the protagonist at the beginning of the episode

Right? What people forget is that he had the ability to make his little computer people not have memories of their outside lives, not be denied freedom, not be actual clones. He could've basically created high-tech Sims but he made damn sure they would suffer in every possible way. It wasn't someone just letting off steam in a quiet way that doesn't cause harm. He was evil, and he was punishing those people for the smallest of transgressions against him.

Nope no sympathy!

I was surprised ppl were sympathising with Daly. I was not. I looked at him as a criminal who stole something and used it against their permission.

My order.

1. Black museum
2. Arkangel
3. Hang the DJ
4. USS Callister
5/6. Crocodile/Metalhead - these 2 episodes I really did not like at all. Very boring for me.

Same, I thought the episode was very clear about what an entitled creep he was. I mean heck he put Nanette in the game when she was nothing but nice to him, but because he overheard her saying that she didn’t have a crush on him, that was it for her

Wait, people though Daly was a victim/sympathizing with him? The man literally found one of the coolest breakthroughs (virtual, infinite reality anyone?) and his first thought is...torment everyone who even looked at him wrong? Especially since those people are literal clones of actual people irl, which makes it doubly worse.

Still need to actually watch the rest of the new series, omph. I'll get around to it eventually. I don't think that this is the strongest overall season to date, but it has enough gems in it.

I know, I was shocked! And it wasn’t just one or two oddballs either, there seemed to be a number of people that felt that way, and wanted to argue that he was supposedly being bullied and unfairly treated and only needed an outlet, so they sympathised with him the most out of all the characters

And it hasn’t been my favourite season either, the only episodes that were real standouts to me were USS Callister and Black Museum tbh
