LOVING Dean as a demon this week, when he comes over all chilling and badass I was close to having palpitations!!

I'm surprised they went so much with the fratboy Dean for the premiere, the drunk karaoke was fun and all, but this was the intensity that I'd been waiting to see from him being turned into a demon, and would have made for a much more dramatic opener. And aww, I even felt kind of bad for Crowley at the end, he seemed so crushed at things not working out the way that he had hoped with Dean and him

I'm confused at the casting for the actor whose father was killed by Dean though, shouldn't he be in his early 20's and not look older than Jensen Ackles?!?! That was an interesting casting choice after we saw the same character as a young boy in 2003. And yeah I was with Dean at saying that wasn't mercy, I was cringing at how Dean kept toying with him and humiliating him in their confrontation

I'm still not super into the angel storyline, heh mostly because I'm so impatient to get back to Sam and Dean, but it was better this week. Hannah did seem like a more interesting character in this episode, and the scene that Castiel had with the little girl was cute, but overall I'd much rather Cas was with Sam on the search for Dean, instead of off in his own side plot *shrugs*

Mostly I loved every minute of the Sam and Dean confrontation and Sam capturing his brother with holy water, those moments are kind of feeling like my favourite fan fics brought to life lol, and I cannot wait for the next episode :D :D

I'm still really enjoying The Flash, it has such a sense of lightness and fun about it compared to other superhero shows like Smallville with all of their angsting (And I've decided to drop Gotham, I really wanted to like it, but I just couldn't get into it).

The actor playing Barry is really good at making him likeable, and aww I find Barry's relationship with Joe very touching. And I'm enjoying the Scooby gang feeling of the set-up with Caitlin, Cisco, and Doctor Wells

Iris didn't make much of an impression on me in the first episode tbh, I had no idea that she was being set up as Barry's main love interest, just because it seemed so platonic between them what with her talking about seeing Barry as her little brother who she grew up with. I was assuming that they were setting it up for Barry to move past his crush on Iris and hit it off with Caitlin from the labs instead, but I've since found out that apparently Iris is who Barry will end up with in the comics. I still don't sense much sexual chemistry between them so far, but I'm prepared to be convinced! I did find her more interesting in the second episode when they seemed to be setting her up as a (less abrasive) Lois Lane type, it seemed a bit contrived that her Dad doesn't want Barry to share the truth about himself with her (how is that meant to keep her safe exactly?), so I'm hoping that she'll find out about his secret by herself at some point if she's going to start looking into The Flash

I'm intrigued by what Doctor Wells is up too, he's one of my favourite characters so far. I keep feeling like we're supposed to suspect that he's being set up as a villain, but it seems pretty ambiguous so far, most likely he's someone (from the future?) who is willing to be ruthless in order to protect The Flash?

And the "meteour freak of the week" is working fine so far, especially as the focus is more on the characters than on the villains, although I do hope they get into some longer arcs once the show is more established.

Quite honestly I found the Arrow cameo in the premiere to be just a bit too cheesy lol, but maybe that worked more for those that watch both shows *g* I will be checking out my first episode of Arrow soon though as I hear there will be crossovers coming up!

And some Veronica Mars news! :D

Exclusive: Whatever Happened to Duncan Kane? Veronica Mars Star Teddy Dunn Speaks Out

The real reason Duncan was so catatonic early in Season 1:Almost as soon as Veronica Mars premiered, it became clear that fans didn't like Duncan, who was originally slated to be Veronica's OTP. He came off as vacant, distant and just sort of... there. Duncan later became much more dynamic, but this isn't because Dunn's talent improved exponentially overnight. It's because Dunn was originally under the impression Duncan had a mental illness.

"I was told early on that Duncan was bipolar, so when I got the role I got some books, starting researching it and looking into it," Dunn says. Since psychosomatic drugs used to treat bipolar disorder often leave the user emotionally distant, Dunn made the conscious choice to play Duncan that way. However, once it became clear that viewers were having a hard time connecting to Duncan, "I was told to leave all that behind and go back to being the gregarious big man on campus," Dunn says. "I had a hard time reconciling the two and I think I struggled with the precedent we had set with the character in the first few episodes versus what they wanted to get out of the character later down the line

(It's funny he says that because at the time I did assume that's what he was aiming for after it was revealed that Duncan was on medication, that he was deliberately toning down his performance for that reason. I actually found Duncan a lot more intriguing in early season 1 when they were playing the mystery of what he knew about Lily's death, it was in early season 2 that I started to think that okay he's just a bad actor lol, because even when Duncan was dating Veronica again and should have been happier, he still came off as really subdued and blank idk. I never felt like his performance changed significantly, although apparently the actor feels that he did switch it around?

He also talks about the criticism from TWoP, the decision to write him him out, his decision to leave acting, and finally

"They would have to first want me to," Dunn says. "I'm not sure there's room for him anymore is what I'm trying to say. But like I said, I really like Rob and Kristen and everybody who I worked with on the show so I'm not going to say no I'm not open to it. But also, I'm a lawyer now. I'm not an actor anymore. It's not to say I never want to act again. I do. I'm just not sure I want to revisit that character, to be honest with you."

the flash, veronica mars, spn
