Kind of had a weirdly creepy moment yesterday when someone randomly said to me "Your voice is very gentle, are you a gentle person". What do you even say to that?!? I just said "erm I dunno" and he laughed. Okaaaaay
Unfortunately the Echo/Ballard plot was the weak link to me, although I did like Echo's imprints starting to emerge, and Echo flashing back on kicking Ballard's ass as she found her inner fighter again was pretty cool. Still overall I'm just not all that engaged in these assignments of the week
I'm sorry that we're losing the handler connection that Echo had with Boyd actually, but it's nice that they've found a more interesting use of Ballard with his becoming Echo's handler. I found Adelle's talk with Ballard interesting in that the show seems to want us to find Ballard's interest in Echo quite creepy and obsessive, as well as drawing attention to his real reasons for freeing Mellie. I still don't get why he is so fixated on Caroline, although his uncomfortable response to Echo having sex was a nice touch
Nice callback to Adelle and Victor when he asks why she's touching his face and "moving on" :P And squee at the brief hand-holding moment for Victor and Sierra at the end, I'm hoping we get lots more of them in upcoming episodes
And after Dr Saunder's was so underused last season she didn't leave much of an impression on me at all in most episodes, but Amy was AMAZING in this episode, and she got some killer lines. "My entire existence was conceived by a sociopath in a sweater vest" was my personal favourite *g* And Topher went from a character that I couldn't stand in season 1, to someone who is kind of breaking my heart. And "I know what I know" was a nice call-back to Epitaph One
