These last couple weeks have been full of all sorts of things popping up and pulling me back toward old fandoms.
That HP Meme going around, not to mention the trailer for the new film and all the other reminisces poppng up on my friends list.

Interviews where Pete forgets questions and instead rambles on happily about Patrick. ♥♥♥

Merlin squee all over my flist from the Merlin panel at comic con.

All this sort of cements the idea that you never really leave your old fandoms behind. They're kind of like the old toys you keep from childhood. Whenever you stumble on them again, you get the need to pull them out and play with them. (Before I gave my old Barbies up to my younger sisters, I would find them in a closet or under the bed from time to time and get the urge to dress them up and do their hair like I used to when I was a kid. A lot of times when we're in Wal Mart or a toy store, I still have the urge to buy a Barbie to dress up and make clothes for.)

I'm still working on a bunch of different Alice stories, and the newly formed Inception fandom is tugging at me to read their goodies (though I have no desire to write in that fandom right now, I'm having lots of fun imagining Eames/Tom Hardy with anyone and everyone). I need to discipline myself better around writing so that I actually complete something longer than 500 words soon.

inception, bandslash, merlin, pete wentz, patrick stump, movies, fandom, fall out boy, tom hardy
