A new life style for me!
Thank you for all the responses regarding my previous entry. The story turned out to be a myth. It saddens me that people feel the need to start these rumors because that can give a restaurant a really bad name, even if it's not true. But that's beside the point.
This entry is about the choice I made this weekend. Starting today, I'm making a life style change. I am no longer calling it a diet, but a life style change. Weight and health are a life long battle, and not something that can be changed with a temporary diet. So today my life style makes a permanent change. Or maybe I should say that I am making a permanent change in my life style. I am owning this. It is going to happen. I'm not even going to ask for luck because I don't need luck. I need endurance and will power.
This all started when I was at my brother and sister's house. Which by the way, I got to meet my neice for the first time and she is ADORABLE!!! I'm so glad I got to see her and spend some quality time with James and Marie and the baby. And James got Chris and I hooked into the game Magic again. You know, that card game that was really popular in like Middle School or something. Maybe you don't. But either way, Chris and I picked up all his magic cards on the way back home and are going to be making decks so we can play against each other. I had so much fun with James, Marie and Katie.
But anyways, back to the story at hand. I was looking at James and Marie's wedding album and saw a picture of me when I was seventeen. I WAS TINY!!!! I looked pretty freaking good. And the thing is, it wasn't that I was always skinny. Truth be told, I was chubby like I am now and then dropped 30 pounds. I have since gained it all back and more, but that's ok. The point is, I know I can loose it again, because I did it once before. When I did it the first time, I was really depressed, so I did it kind of unhealthely, but this time around I'm going to do it right. Hence, the life style change. It's going to happen. I'm really excited.
