I just did it because I didn't want to spam all the people that didn't have ANY interest in my sim stuff with sims. ^_^

yeah, i am feeling the same way...but i am torn, as i only really got an LJ for sims; the other stuff came as a consequence of using this as a commenting journal. TORN.

I'd say maybe go for the filter option, but you don't want people that DON'T have livejournals to not be able to access your sims stuff...

IDK personally I find it VERY useful to keep the comm, but sometimes I do feel like it'd have been nice to keep them all in the same journal.

I have a filter in place, but I generally need to set my sims shit publicly. :< Friends only is an option, but only as a last resort.

I think it's fine to keep it all here. Most people that make a community for their sims stuff (or post at Wella Creations(sp?) also end up posting a link to updates on their regular LJ and that way i get the update twice on my Friends Page, which can be kind of... cluttering and stuff.
Ultimately it's up to you, of course. I will follow you wherever you go :)
