[headshake] Not my men, but the enemies we faced. Some of them were rather clever when it came to taking us out.

[At least there's that, then. He's gotten odd looks for saying such things and looking so young before.]

Only when compared to this place, yes. We did all of our fighting for ourselves , and that often led to problems. I'm sure other worlds are the same.

I thought as much. Most worlds I've heard about share a good deal of similarities, including the kinds of people who live on them.

[Well, his world had three guys doing the betraying. And acting like they were on the side of "good" for over a hundred years despite being on the other side.]

Conflict does seem to be a constant no matter what world you find yourself in. Even here, where things are more peaceful than most other worlds, it's always there.
