oo1 [Video/Action for New Bark]

[Evening, Johto. Have a sniffly sound as something sniffs at the gear and manages to turn it on, then show an orange-furred face and the sun setting behind it. No sign of a trainer, though. Not for a while, at least, but after the Growlithe turns over its shoulder and barks, its trainer finally shows himself ( Read more... )

I wouldn't put it past this place to pull something absolutely ridiculous weather wise, but yes. It's August currently.

[August. Five months in just a few hours. ...At least things back home had been exactly as he'd left them.]

It's pulled some things, yes. I'll take it you weren't here in December?

[he shakes his head.] No, I arrived sometime in April.

Then you missed a blizzard that dumped nine feet of snow on us in three days time. A heat wave isn't out of the question.

[Said bluntly; it's just a fact, really.]

That is rather unfortunate. But I did say I wouldn't put it past this place to do something like that.

There isn't much I'd put this place past doing, if I were you. It helps if you're not caught off guard.

[Not much, but every bit counts here.]

There really isn't. I'm starting to think nothing is really safe in this place. The food and the weather.

The food we can at least be cautious with. The weather...[headshake.] We can only prepare for the worst.

[he nods] It's like a trial of sorts. Survive the harshest of weathers and it'll make a man out of you.

Or at least someone who knows how to handle being caught in storms that come out of nowhere.

Not necessarily. You might be surprised what you can do with something as long as you keep a level head about it.

Little surprises me these days, and I've seen what can be done with a level head.

[Hell, he generally keeps one himself. ...unless someone really gets his temper going.]

But no matter how calmly you approach something, stopping a storm with just your head isn't possible here.

While stopping it may be something out of the question, finding a way out of it is definitely possible. No one can really stop a storm. Unless they're secretly a God or something-- But you can definitely find your way out of one with a level head.

[Secretly a God--making no comment on that one. His powers would...certainly count.]

If you can keep that level head until the storm ends. It's easy to panic when you can't see three feet in front of your face, let alone see where you're going.

While it is easy to panic about that sort of situation, it does nothing but worsen it.
