Here is a boring summary of what happened to me yesterday in bulleted form (man, I haven't done this in, like, two years):
> Arrived in UST at 11 AM to start surveying people for our course work. Surveyed mostly UST students for the first hour or so.
> Went out of UST with Arete to survey people on the streets. Not a really good idea since the tambay boys don't read broadsheets. In desperation, we even went inside beauty parlors and fast food chains to get respondents.
> Arete decided we should do the survey in a shopping mall where there are lots of people. SM Manila was the nearest one, so we agreed to go there. On the way, we passed by Arlegui street in Quiapo to score a copy of Dream Theater's Live in Budokan DVD.
> Arrived in SM Manila at around 3 PM. Started surveying the nearest people. Moved to the food court where the refusal rate was like 70% for me. Maybe I need to get a mohawk, too.
> Edsel caught up with us at around 4:30 PM to help in the task. We finished some time near 6 PM with a total of 146 respondents, just 4 short of the maximum number allowed for our study. Enough surveying for one day. Went to KFC to take a break and tally the survey results. Didn't know that the Chicken Tempura was served on styro. Sorry, Earthlings...
> Finished everything in an hour or so. Arete decides to call it a day (Good luck with the data interpretation, bro! Maraming salamat talaga!). Edsel and I fooled around a bit by imitating WWE wrestlers before going home.
> Got inside the LRT-2 as fast as I can. Got down at the Cubao station to take the MRT to Ortigas to go to the Megamall. In Cubao, there are people wearing WWE t-shirts everywhere I looked. I realized that the WWE Manila Tour had just finished. Too bad we didn't get to watch.
> Arrived at the Megamall at 8:15 PM. Still had time to make it to the Backdoor Ventures Art and Music Festival. Got there about 15 minutes later. Got to chat a little with Matilda vocalist Charms, after which she signed the copy of Matilda's EP that I bought. Also got a free pouch and some stickers from MTV for filling up their survey (SURVEY?!?!?). Saw performances by Indio I, Nosegrind and that percussion band whose name I forgot. All good. I was half-expecting Ma'am Guevara to be there, though. I think it's the ideal event for people like her.
> Left the Megamall about an hour later. Just in time to catch the MRT and the last LRT-2 train bound for home. Watched the Dream Theater DVD after having dinner. Simply awesome. But I didn't watch the whole thing since that would take forever. John Myung is not handsome. He's beautiful. The soft, flowing hair, little Asian eyes and all... very feminine. Which is very cool.
I guess I won't be able to come up with a more decent entry than this until every little bit of school work is done for this semester.
Whatever.
