Eighth Imprisonment

I wonder where these curses come from. Doesn't it make anyone curious who casts them, and why, and how they could affect a whole school? What kind of spell could relieve one's lack of freedom? I felt different the last few days, but that was just more magic. Stupid, stupid magic.

I've never wondered, really. I just figured it was discharge from other spells previously cast.

But what kind of spells could break the curse have the effects that they do?

The spell from the other day made us obey orders, right? Or it seemed like that's what was happening. Well. The only thing I can think of that can control a person is Imperius, but...that's illegal so I can't imagine why anyone would cast that in there.

Mandy always said the curse was like Imperius, but...how could orders work for people other than the caster?

No, I can't imagine someone here wanting to spell another to control them.

Maybe it was a weaker version of it. We're not like...well, muggles, so maybe it was the power of...suggestion.

Oh, stuff it, at least I haven't resigned myself to the prattle of the castle ~BEING ALIVE~ and sadistic.

Sometimes it feels that way, though. And alive can mean sentient, can't it?

I refuse to believe in a living castle, no matter how much magic seeps into it over the years.

Maybe it isn't living but it certainly has enough secrets about it that we don't know. You might be surprised when cheeks are charms and skulls are spells.
