Allright, I liked this episode. Not particulary smart, but pretty action packed, funny comedic bits, and all around good pacing ( Read more... )

"Where's tall, dark and scaly?"

God I loved that line and the face he made sayin' it, but I'm not too thrilled KO got kicked to comedic relief for the episode.

And Predakings "defeat:"

That had to be the dumbest part of the episode... The fucker can FLY people and Megatron's survived worse. Why would he EVER assume something is dead unless he's crushed its spark within his palm?

Star's also has me second guessing his character. By the end of season two I could have sworn he was up to something but now... Screamy, wat r u doin?
(And I swear that face he made when megz got gut-punched translated to "NO! MY LOVE!")

Tho I think he'll be back to his old self by next week, seeing as he dodged the Dark Star Saber--PFfft! I still can't type it without laughing. XD It sounds like something BOWSER would come up with.--in the promo.

I don't mind him as comedic relief when he's just being snarky or bizarrely random. (Like the quote you mentioned) But I agree that he was relegated to the phatetic/butt monkey/Starscream-like variety quite a lot in this episode which is something that bothers me too. It used to happen often in season 2 when Starscream wasn't around to fill that prestigious spot on the Decepticon side.

Yeah, Predaking is fine. I think that Starscream's line was supposed to make viewers believe that PK is done for. It's either that or the writers are saying that Starscream is both stupid and developed the Cybertronian equalent of dementia. Quite frankly, the first option insults my intellegence as a viewer while the second one should insult the writers' since it doesn't make sense.

I think he's been shown consistently "loyal" during this season. I'm not sure WHY but I don't necessarily mind it.
The thing is though, that I don't understand why anyone in their right mind would be loyal to Megatron. That guy's just crazy on a cosmic scale. I mean, he can make sense in the short-term/micro level, but he's ultimate goals are nuts, and really, not even all that clear.
