It'll be my first day of work tomorrow! AND I AM SOOOOOO EXCITED! XD XD XD XD XD (<- See the many smileys I had to insert? That's how excited I am!)
My friend, AM, already started last week and so far, he's having a blast. You might be thinking that well, there isn't any real work during the first week of employment, but the mere fact that I will be meeting a lot of new people and will be in a real, professional, and new environment is enough to give me a sleepless night later. Well, I really shouldn't be sleeping late because I have to wake up at 4AM. I am still living in Antipolo and the shuttle ride takes FOREVER (okay, I am exaggerating. It's just around 2 hours when there's a traffic jam. But hey, I got used to living within the campus wherein I can wake up 30 minutes before my class and I still won't be late for school). We had some problems with the owner of the unit where I will be moving in so I had to endure commuting to and from Makati for at least a week. *sigh*
AM said that we will be starting our training tomorrow, which will make me busy the whole day. I'd like that better than just sitting here at home and getting fat while doing nothing. I'd probably have to say goodbye to my yahoo messenger and social networking sites. Since graduation, I've always been online since I lack things to keep me preoccupied here. Well, I resorted to Baking, and it's lots of fun BUT the ingredients are really expensive so I can't do it every day. Sad.
This is also the time for me to start dressing up more "nicely" (i.e. dress professionally, no more short shorts and short skirts). I will miss my UP wardrobe. I became accustomed to my bihis gusgusin look or on better days, wearing just short shorts, a cool top (or org shirt), and a nice pair of flats. My dad said I should learn to "customize" myself, whatever he meant by that. I'm interpreting it as learning how to dress according to the work environment. I'm thinking of it as a new experience of dressing up without looking like the stereotypical boring office girl. That would be a new challenge for me though.
This is a fresh start for me. Still keeping my fingers crossed and hoping that I will enjoy this new experience. :)
