So, I finally went grocery-shopping today after almost a month of not having time because of school, aside from grabbing frozen or pre-made meals or sandwich makings on the way home sometimes (I also have a college meal plan). I decided to go to Trader Joe's because, though I have to subway there, the trip's not that long and they have delicious organic foods for much less than what organic foods cost at Shaws or Whole Foods or anywhere else I know of. In the past I've had no trouble carrying my grocery bags on the subway, but today the cashier didn't double-bag like they usually do and I didn't notice, so on the way to the station the bag broke and my food fell...off a bridge. Fabulous! So now the homeless people who live near Alewife are probably very happy, but I am not. Lesson learned: in the future I will be more diligent about remembering to bring reusable bags, especially to Trader Joe's. For this week though, screw that shit I'm just going to the Shaws a block away. It will not kill me to not eat organic for one more week.
