Damned GP and his lack of intelligence..
Okay. When my chest was killing me, my doctor diagnosed it as anxiety.
He didn't ask me any questions regarding my mood or mental state.
He didn't check my blood-pressure.
He had no interest, what so ever, to consider other options.
It was Anxiety!
So he referred me to the mental health ward at the local hospital.

Today I had the appointment.
Was a nice woman, psychiatrist, who asked me questions and chatted with me a while.
I did a little quiz thing and the results of that, coupled with her general impression of me, lead to her "diagnosing" me with dysthymia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dysthymia
I also have relatively high stress levels, but they were still considered surprisingly low when compared with how much "stuff" I have to deal with in life.
But my anxiety was well within "normal" boundaries and there is no reason to believe that there's any anxiety issues what so ever.

My dysthymia and stress are reasonable even, with all the physical issues I have, so while it's a "disorder", it's not "abnormal".
