Writer's Block: That's So Cliché

Mar 09, 2008 17:41

I think one of the most annoying things to grace the internet today is the fact people do not, or are too lazy too spell.
Why on earth must people spell words like they've spawned from idiots? 'Lyke' for example, it's the same ammount of letters as like and yet certain people spell it with a y instead of an i. Is it because they rhyme? Do people not see the difference between this letters?!

I think another problem with the internet is the poorly written fanfictions.
Mary Sues and Mary Stus are my pet hate! I hate to read a story which is so cliché in its own right. I'm fed up of clicking a certain fiction link and it takes me to two girls going someplace random like a concert or the Enterprise for crying out loud and falling in love with a certain person. And strangely enough they fall in love quickly back, just like that it's love. How the heck? I don't click a Star Trek fiction to read about Mary and Captain Kirk! I click these links to read a story about a new adventure upon the ship.
Slash I can cope with however sometimes they get a bit much and you just need a fresh of breath air. Sadly a lot of writers rarely open the window.

Myspace is another.
I have one myself and to be honest it's the most boring thing I have. I only use it for music... Nobody adds you unless you're posing stupidly.

That's all I can think of for now.

Freesus.
