and with time comes change
before now this day was always a day where dad or ricky took me to 'buy' a present for my mom. which means they picked it out, took the $1 in change i had, and paid for the rest. i told my mommy i loved her, we all went out for dinner and that was that. happy mommy's day.
but with time comes change, and now i'm the one getting the cards signed with my son's name, but from anothers hand. and i think i finally see this day the way my mom always had. as a child i thought it was just a day to show mom i loved her. now i realize that for mothers its a day to look at your child in wonder. it's true, they grow far too fast. my baby isn't a baby any more. he's getting so big and so cute and i just can't believe it's only been two years.
so anyways, to all the mothers out there,
