Eh. I started, and failed at, about a dozen replies to this. They kept on coming out All About Me, mostly because I am pretty sure that supportive parents are something you only find in TV movies, so let's skip that.

I shall fall back on Supportive Hugs*, if you promise not to get snot on me.

I know! I never know what to say when other people post stuff like this. You and I seem cut from the same cloth. The stuff with the "oh my God are these people seriously my FAMILY?" pattern all over it.

This whole comment made me laugh, and I'll hug you back, because I've already wiped my nose on that aforementioned cloth. It's the very least it deserves. Or something.

I have no constructive suggestions for how to deal with anger, since my family runs along the lines of repressing, with or without alcohol, and just kind of generally quietly getting on with getting on and not actually discussing our real problems with each other. I guess I'm glad you have at least one person you can relax enough to be a screaming mess with when things pile up higher than you can deal with -- I hope you at least give her something similar when she needs it.
