The Host (Korean), The Descent (Original British cut), Oldboy...total props on the previously made Zatoichi suggestion...more of my own to come...

i'm so bad about remembering what movies i liked.
i can't recall if you said you'd seen bubba ho-tep. but i know you like elvis, and it's a horror movie...albeit a slow-paced quirky horror movie.

running scared was an action movie i ended up liking.

kung-fu hustle if you haven't already seen that.

and avoid pathfinder at all costs.

and i don't know how you felt about blair witch, but cloverfield was awful imo.

and how about those wings?

100% agree with Bubba Ho-Tep. I actually did like that movie even though I hate horror.

Kung-Fu Hustle rocked my socks.

I'm going to leave a gazillion comments on this thread. My new roomie made me watch Monster Squad recently and it was awesome. The Warriors.
Six String Samurai.
Night Watch.
Day Watch.
Teeth. <---mandatory
Serial Mom.

A+ for Lars and the Real Girl and Juno.

I don't have any horror recommendations because horror movies are HELLA traumatic for me to watch and process. As for comedies, Head of State with Chris Rock makes me nearly pee my pants every time I see it.
