The funniest one I ever seen was in English class.

11th grade, when doing group reading, a girl misread a word. Had everyone laughing.

The word was organism.

She left out the ni.

My other favorite is "public" minus the L.

Yes, esp. if you're going to go talk to the public or express your thanks to the public, or you have the public licked. ;)
