One of my fire photos made the front page of the Freep today! It's not my favorite one, it's way too dark and the caption the editors wrote is pretty laughable, but it's still exciting to have one of my pictures printed.
Today in photojo, we had our first infamous deadline assignment. At 1:30, the professor sent us out to take a picture of someone who looked cold, edit the image and burn it to a cd, and write out a full caption by 2:10. I headed over to Warren because the front was in shade so the lighting was more even, and I found someone to shoot as soon as I got there.
Turns out that this guy is a photographer too, so he was really cool with having his picture taken and giving me his name and such.
Between yesterday and today's photo assignments, I've talked with maybe 20 complete strangers and have actually enjoyed doing so. It feels odd for me to be ok with talking to people I don't know, but I think I'll get used to it. :D
