NaNoWriMo: (Un)Officially Over!

Feb 01, 2008 23:23

Hey, two updates in one day! Ha ha, that's obnoxious.

Anyhoo, just thought I'd let everyone know that, yes, I did hit 50,000 words in my WriMo quest. However...I did not finish my story. V__V Almost, almost. Well, not really, but hey.

So I intend to spend February patching my little baby together. It's frustrating, and it'll take toooons of stamina, but I think I'm up to the task. Also, I'm too OCD to let it go.

My next step I think is to look into preparing comic pages themselves. You know, like prepping them for publication. I should probably obtain some books on this topic. However, I am grossly indebted to all libraries in the area, sooo...long story short, I can't really rent things anymore. Pretty much anywhere I go. Cuz I can't handle bringing things back on time. Or even earlier than two to six months after they're due. But who's counting? (The library and Family Video, obviously.)

Yeah, it feels weird to be "done." Maybe cuz I'm not really done. When I'm actually done with the script, I'm sure I'll post something ridiculously joyful. But then I've gotta draw for the next 14 years of my life, so how great is that, really, when you think of it? But who's counting? (Me. And my potentially bleeding fingers.)

God, imagine me...a comic book artist! A graphic novelist! Amazing...do you think I'll have a staff? People to color stuff for me cuz I hate coloring stuff? People to ink stuff for me and put tones on it? Will I have stacks of tones so high that I can use them to reach the Quickbread mixes on the top shelf in the kitchen?

Ah, perhaps one day... *dream*

quickbread, comics, being a real artist
