Outstanding

I am actually quite surprised at what a broadly social medium this is. I had made the rash assumption that the people whom I have begun to read would ignore me up until the point I accidentally made some poignant comment on their entry (I'm not normally very relevant, but I was working on the 700 monkeys theory). But lo, several people responded in a very friendly manner.
I suppose I should revamp my attitude about the general populace. Living in Chicago can wear on your faith in your fellow man. I'm sure it's like that in all big cities, but Chicago seems to have its own special stigma associated with it. Today, the office is all baseball talk. The Cubs this...the White Sox that. Apparently Chicago is the losingest baseball city in the country...feel my heart well with pride.
Now if we could just put together at "loud cars at midnight" team, we'd be world champions.
It is nice out...maybe I'll find a nice open air terrace restaurant for dinner tonight....complete with loud car ambience.
