In the Grim Darkness of the Far Future There is Only Pramas

As most of you know I spent three years working at Flying Lab Software on the Pirates of the Burning Sea MMO as a writer and then creative director. That ended last October and since then I've been concentrating on Green Ronin. It was nice to get a breather after working two jobs for all that time. I hear very good things about Dark Millenium -- I know there's not much info about it yet, but the buzz is already very positive among 40K fans, so far as I can gather.

Have a great time in Chicago -- sounds like you will, with Ken as host and punk rock too!

It's very cool that you're back in the 40k universe, and your involvement makes me much more interested in the game. Obviously the sacrifices you are going to make suck, but Austin isn't so bad. It's hotter than here in OK, but it's also got some very cool stuff.

The idea of game designers from the Northwest moving down here South strikes me really odd, but I guess Austin is becoming a growing computer design hub. I suppose I ought to pay more attention to what's going on so near home.

I presume you'll be flying to Texas, but if not don't forget you have a potential pit stop option in OK.

"I guess Austin is becoming a growing computer design hub." Uhhh - yeah. As in, the biggest computer game design hub in the US east of Silicon Valley. Since, I dunno, 1986?

Congrats on the new job, Chris, and welcome to Austin. Yes, it's hot, but the entire city is air-conditioned.

Congrats, Chris! I hear good things about Vigil, and I'm sure you know Jim Long down there too. It sounds like an exciting move for you, although being away from Nicole and Kate that much will certainly suck. Here's hoping it all works out wonderfully and you're all reunited in Austin in 2011.

Congratulations, Chris! Geez ... right before I move back to Seattle, too. If this wasn't such a SWEET opportunity, I'd think you were avoiding me. ;^)

Say hi to T'Ed for me when you get down to Vigil!

Yup. That's the plan. Probably in early November. (I really should make a post on my LJ about that ... y'know, just so people know.)

Congrats on landing a great gig!

Alas, Austin is far away but yeah, West Berlin about covers the cultural angle.
