In which I could not find decent caps of their ickle awkward leering faces and so used words instead.
M: I think you've been amazing. After all that's happened, getting your life back together...
G: It's better than sitting in an empty house, waiting for my father to walk through the door.
G: The thing I find hardest to bear is that people will always think he was guilty because he tried to escape.
M: I know he was innocent.
G: I think he tried to escape because he knew that whatever he said or did, he'd be killed. Uther had already made up his mind. That's the kind of man he is.
M: I wouldn't blame you if you wanted him dead.
G: If Uther died, I'd feel nothing. He means nothing to me.
M: But if you had, you know, the choice, what would you do? If you had the power of life and death over Uther, would you kill him? For what he did?
G: No.
M: No?
G: What would that solve? That would make me a murderer. That would make me as bad as him.
G: I've tried to make her feel comfortable.
M: You have such a good heart, Gwen. Don't ever lose that.
Conclusions: They are too adorable for life. Basically, if they had hooked up in canon, everyone ever would have been in a pile of mush after each of their scenes because they'd be too sweet to handle.
Gwen and Merlin need to share a hug, like, yesterday. And indeed, if they do not at some point before the series ends, angry letters may be written. I'll use a pseudonym. Hugge Al Reddy, or something cleverer.
