I HATE rent-a-cops SO MUCH! GAH!
so me and a bunch of PAC crew members were standing outside of the PAC tonight, just talking and hanging out like we always do. do you guys know the breast cancer 3 day walk? well, one of the stops is next to Highline stadium, behind the PAC in the park there. so they had some Rent-a-cop security there. they were looking at us pretty suspiciously, and I saw them use their radios a couple of times. it made me laugh.
so, Jason made some stupid joke and I punched him, and then we were messing around in the parking lot and then BAM rent-a-cops were everywhere. there were 3 of them and one of them said "ok people, I'm gonna have to ask you guys to leave the parking lot. you guys can do whatever you want on the sidewalk, but you guys need to leave now. this park is closed now." I was like, "um...this isn't the park though."
he said "look, you guys just need to leave now. don't make any trouble."
ok, we were still on school district property, if they were district security, fine. but these guys were "guarding" the park, not this parking lot. they had no right to tell us to do anything, and we weren't threatening anyone.
I really wish I had stayed and made more trouble. if James had been there I have no doubt we would have raised some hell, probably threatened to call the cops or something. but it was just me and frankie, plus some other PAC crew so we all just left.
just because they have a radio a little plastic "security" badge does NOT make them cops.
