So yesterday I had a totally awesome time. I woke up early but I stayed in bed forever. Then I went to Geneva so I could help mom find baby gifts for her co-worker. Let's face it, I had a great time. Then I came home and lingered outside on my porch, then I finished reading 2 books. It felt satisfying. We went to Seneca Farms for dinner, indicating there's not alot of school left. Hooray. And then later at night I went outside, it was raining, but I didn't care. And I just laid on the table, letting myself get soaked, taking in the red color of the sky, and then I heard people talking. So I got up and went over to see who it was. Steven and his 5 year old brother were hunting for nightcrawlers. So, I naturally had to join them, I mean I was already soaked, and I would get dirty helping, but I didn't mind. So at first Steven tried to help me find them, because I'm not very great at it. But then I found a few on my own and I caught them. It was alot of fun. And I've never seen Steven be nice to his brother before, it was a change of pace from everyday. But, then Steve put a slug in my shoe, moment gone. It's so weird to think that all of us, between the ages of 4-8, used to do this together. Courtney being the youngest, then bobby, then steven, justin, me, adam, and then cliff. We all used to look for worms and then take them down to the bait shop, they give you a nickel for each worm. We used to cut the worms in half. *laughs* It brought back old cherished memories. However, it was only me and Steven. Bobby, Justin, and Adam were playing laccrosse. Cliff was at his girlfriend's or something. Courtney doesn't really come over to Lincoln anymore. Everyone has grown up. I just hope they remember what it was like to catch one of the damned fast lil buggers when they get older, and it rains out, and they see kids getting soaked, and muddy, and then they see the smiles plastered on their faces after catching one.
I came inside and took another, very needed shower. Then I started reading another book, and I wished I had someone there, to talk to about everything going on. But, who would I call? Yeah, no one. I talked to my tomato plant, Vinny. I felt better, and then I layed down for some rest. Midnight surrounded me, and I wrote. I wrote until I fell asleep, because when I woke up this morning, I had ink on my face, and the last sentence I wrote said something like this - 'but then my uncle game boktmmm hooooooooooooo....' I wish I knew what I was starting that sentence as, but oh well. Life goes on - in the big parade.
*laughs* The big parade.
Read 'Alessandra In Between'
It's one of my favorite books. I read it in about 4 hours. 3 times.
