My essay is now finished. Joy and rapture are now flapping their little wings around my head. So anyways i was thinking, the only thing that stops you from killing people is you friends and family and your respect of them. Otherwise killing would not have been taught as "wrong" to you. Morality is a time-honored tradition. Many transcendentalists hold ethics to be "true" in some way that transcends the rest of the world. Certain strains of ethical transcendentalism are very popular and common. They are not, however considered a legitimate school of ethics. Just because everyone on your block is a devout Christian does not mean that Christianity is the accepted in a certain field. Christianity, along with other such strains of thought (for my purposes right now most all religious thought can be grouped together), is not a legitimate study of ethics; it is a legitimate study in religion or god. So I repeat, morality is a time-honored tradition. Much in the same way that the way in which I am writing to you right now is a time honored tradition. Sure I could go against the grammatical and stylistic rules of English. Suppose I make up my own language on the spot and scrawl some passage on my wall. The only thing that categorizes the way that I write to you in this comment as more significant than my passage on the wall ( ... )
