Yeah, I heard it Sunday night. But it's not until today that I've really let it sink in, and just soaked in the happiness the news brought me.
I've never been so happy about someone dying before. I feel kind of bad to feel so good, but...he was an enemy to my country.
9/11...I was in high school, so I definitely remember the pain and uncertainty and the "We are all New Yorkers" feeling. So when I think about Bin Laden being dead, I want to throw a party! I want to celebrate! I'm just SO HAPPY. It's so sweet that...those Seals got him! Shot him! He's dead!
Today the news came out that he was unarmed. I'm like "Am I supposed to care? He was an enemy! I thought the point was to kill him!" Like, really, I didn't get why they even used to word "capture" in talking about the operation. I think most Americans didn't want him captured...just saying. Anyway, yay! Obama...is definitely on track to win re-election. Even I'M like "Go Obama!" Been Rebublican for a while, but...this is huge.
Really, really happy news in America.
