Apparently it is a "death wish" for a mathematician to go hiking. Or, so my topology professor said, when I admitted to having done some hiking. Some famous topologist who is responsible for one of our theorems from class fell off an Aztec Pyramid during a math conference in Mexico City, in 1956. And it doesn't stop there, nearly a half dozen well known mathematicians have died in hiking accidents. It will all be in my professor's forthcoming book, The Horrible Deaths of Famous Mathematicians. (I, got nothin').
So, yeah. This weekend I saw the LSO, went to Windsor & Eton, did something else. I finally got a cheap little stereo from a sketchy store in Camden, so I have music in my room! I'm going to start a little tutoring tomorrow. I'm going to teach math to inner-city London kids. And they're going to like it, and when they understand what I teach, they're going to come back to me, saying, "please sir, may I have some more?"
I'm awful with this updating thing, but hey, this is only one week since the last one! Pretty impressive, eh?
I've put my address/phone number in my AIM profile, because my computer took a lot of emails with it in crashing.
Yep, that's it.
