So I'm seeing all these articles in the Anti-Gay news lately and I find it to be quite perturbing. I find this to be perturbing and even more so frustrating because in the religious world people chose to ignore what they are actually saying compared to what people *tell* them to say. I understand that they follow beliefs and vows and blah blah blah but do their beliefs and vows go out and tell them to change the world. Did God float down on a cloud and whisper to them "I am the lord your savior, I command you to not give gays rights." I mean come on, I'm pretty sure that if God really really really didn't want homosexuals on this earth then we'd all be struck down with lighting right about..now. What I'm saying is that, you are not god's representatives. The pope isn't even a representative of God. No one is near that high in rank. And as I said earlier, the day he comes down to you and tells you "go out now and put and end to this whole gay-fiasco" then by all means go forth and do it my child. But for the time being, quit trying to change the world. If people haven't noticed the world is changing in every aspect so rapidly. What people wrote down in a book thousands of years ago I don't think will catch up to where humans have evolved to now. Personally, I think there is so much more to worry about that trying to not giving gays right. For instance the rising crime rate, amounting poverty levels, mass media and its affects on our youth, teen pregnancy. Oh and about teen pregnancy, America has the highest rate in all of the world. Teen pregnancy is directly linked to most poverty in America. So if you solve teen pregnancy, or at least help it along the way to taking down a couple noches you can help prevent much of the poverty levels. So this brings me to another point, a religious point. Once again, Jesus Christ Superfans are trying to infiltrate what we teach in our school systems. Abstinence is not the only way to safe sex. Yes yes, sex is to procreate. This is the case for both religious and evolutionary but...but...SEX FEELS GODLY. If sex was simply to procreate i'm pretty sure there would be a more simple way, like, shaking hands.
OK so anyways, back to the gay issue. In the religious world of Jesus Christ, people are actually going out to attempt to make and Anti Brokeback mountain movie. Are they soooo disgusted by homosexuals that they have to go to this extent and make a movie? But here's my main question...are we hurting anyone? Is the homosexual sitting next to you in class disrupting your life, harming you, making you ill? Yes, they may be against your beliefs but there are alot of things against my beliefs. For instance, intolerance, closemindedness, Roman Catholic Priests molesting young boys. I'm sorry but itsn't that a BIG CONTRADICTION of your religion. Oh and what really gets me going is how the Vatican tries to cover it up, amnd make it seem like nothing ever happend and after that blame it on homosexuality. So in order to solve this problem you go on a FAG HUNT and expel any priests that are homosexual from the hands of God. Tell me pops, how do you intend on seeking out these homosexual priests?

I got that from a cartoon I saw in Time Magazine. It was absolutely brilliant...also believe it or not, priests aer men. Men have libidos. THEIR SEX DRIVES ARE INSANE! Celibacy is damn hard-for anyone. Also, you say that homosexuality isn't helping the whole aids issue. WEll you're right, it sin't. BUTT...neither is the poverty in Africa, where children are having sex and people can't afford comdens to they use plastric bags. Heroin and drug use isn't helping when people are sharing dirty needles. Tell me Padre, why aint you fighting that? That's not the only information I have to share with you on the sex scandals. Not only does the Vatican blame it on the homosexuals, they flip the whole ebntire issue around on us and tag us with a label.

Oh and before you even attempt to bash me *ahem* I went to a Roman Catholic Church for 10 years of my life and was taught by the book. I've been baptized, confirmed, and given communion 2wice a week. All I have to say is:
