story of the year

Apr 26, 2008 04:01

2:28 a.m.: Queen Street East (The Beach), Rob Roberts, National Post Toronto editor:

Dan McBride, 28 year old salesman, said he's moving to Nanaimo B.C. and he's a day late. He was at Eglinton and Yonge at midnight.
"They kicked everyone off the fucken train. It was really horrible and they were rude to everyone." He paid the fare than heard the announcement "I said buddy, can I get my $2.75 back. He had a shit-eating grin and he said, all I can give you is a transfer." McBride took a $25 cab to beach to meet his sister. He was interviewed outside the Castro's Lounge.

(National Post)

THIS is the bullshit they're demanding pay INCREASES for? This is the bullshit that they're saying WE'RE the problem for? This is the most disgusting most outrageous disrespect for the public at large I have EVER seen. And the people of Toronto are too damn polite to get angry about it!! They're fight me over their watch not being fixed in two weeks, but we can't get them remotely excited about their economies and livelihoods being threatened?
