Seattle in September
Went to Bumbershoot today. Plastilina Mosh was fabulous and wacky, The Bad Plus was awesome jazz. (I suggest Raoul should check it out--they cover Aphex Twin, and the drummer is fast and precise enough to pull it off.) Met up with Venus at the PMosh show. Liz Phair was first thing in the morning but it wasn't my favorite. Pixies tomorrow, and Harvey Pekar, and maybe Control Machete and who knows what else.
Bumbershoot seems smaller this year. There are no gigs in Key Arena, which I quite approve of since the arena's acoustics are terrible and the lineups are huge. I still have popcorn stuck in my teeth and I am just about ready for bed.
