[Satsuki nods complacently at his explanation, the binary code clicking instantly in her head. She's been so used to communicating with computers in the same manner, it's almost as if she'd prefer to speak binary herself. Turning her head towards the empty space blanketed with white, Satsuki allows a small, almost nonexistent smile to creep up her lips. It disappears just as quickly, and the stoic face returns.]

Was there any particular reason why you wanted to come see me? Do you want to do something with me?

Satsuki blinked, a small look of confusion on her face. Adjusting her glasses, she listened intently to Metal and then looked at the food in his hands. He wanted her to eat with him? But wasn't he a robot? A living computer? Or was she looking at this the wrong way?

Whatever he wanted, Satsuki really had little choice in the matter. She gave him a smile, again, quite small yet somehow genuine, and nodded.

"I don't mind. I want your company, too."

She hoped BEAST wouldn't mind. It's not his fault, nor was it hers, that he wasn't here with Satsuki. She took some of the dried fruits and munched on one that looked particularly pretty.

"Thank you. For this."

Eventually they wound up near the edge of the forest, where a small charred pile of twigs rested on a parking lot not too far from them.Metal pointed to the pile, and then to the forest.]

[Satsuki's eyes widened just slightly. She watched as Metal pet the rat, much like a child and a dog, or a cat, or a bird. Now this was why Satsuki preferred computers over humans; a human being would never, not even once consider, doing something remotely close to what Metal was doing now. The typical human would do the complete opposite, actually, and kill it without a doubt. Or hunt it down and trap it. Rats were pests, but they were also living things, and humans had no regard for those that don't suit their needs. Satsuki's expression softened greatly as she listened to him. 'They don't judge'...'Even though Satsuki wasn't like him'...

Her mind was set. Metal would be her new companion. Computers were much better than humans. He was living proof. Slowly, Satsuki walked closer to Metal and crouched down, eyes trained on the rat. Then, with calm breaths, Satsuki smiled. One of the few true smiles she gave a select few.]

"You'll listen...to me? I'd like that. And we could talk about things. Things other people don't understand. What do you want me to tell you?"

[If she had her powers right about now, a few wires inserted into her here and there would tell him in a snap what Satsuki held in her head -- what she is, what she can do, what she's been through. Metal only provoked her raw need to remove this godforsaken chip out of her body and talk to them, like back home.]

"That depends on what you want me to tell you. I don't know where to begin."

[Now comes the test if Metal was truly prepared to be with Satsuki. Whatever he'll ask, she was sure he'd be somewhat surprised. She was already calculating the probabilities.]
