The Cat. One Job
"Okay people, thank you all for coming." 2D said as he addressed the room in front of him with sunglasses on. He had taken everyone back to the apartment Rick used for his IT business in Manhattan so he wouldn't be doing this on BPRD grounds.
"Allow me to remind you all why I asked you to come." he looks to a series of TV's he set up, pulling up a picture of Esther, "This woman, is Esther Drummond. Most of you probably know her from around the BPRD as one of the people helping Jack with all this Miracle stuff going on. This," he clicks over to the next picture, showing Esther's sister and nieces, "are her family. Esther's sister, Sarah, and Sarah's two daughters. Early on in the Miracle, me and Esther went to check on them, and it had a..." 2D pauses, trying to find the right words, "less than spectacular result. She decided to call Child Protective Services to get her sister some help, and it ended up going as far as splitting the children from their mother, while Sarah was taken to a psychiatric facility."
"We would let the story end there until the Miracle is over, except for the fact of what Esther learned not too long ago. Her sister had decided that the best thing for her to do with her children is to make them Category One's so they won't be in anyone's way. As much as I would love to just stand back and let this all play out, 1) I have no intent of letting a family end up near dead, especially when we know what happens to them, and 2) now that we know about The Families, I don't doubt that they may be keeping an eye on her to make sure that she's usable in the event they want to manipulate Esther."
2D clicks over again, bringing up three sets of pictures, one of what appeared to be a hospital of sorts, one that appeared to be some type of office building, and a house. "These are the targets we'll be hitting at the same time," he points to the first one, "this is the psychiatric facility Sarah Drummond is staying at," he points to the third, "this is where the children are currently living while this is all being processed," and finally, he points to the second set, "this is where they're storing all the files on them for CPS."
"We'll be in two teams, each team splitting down into groups. I'll be in charge of the main team, while Indigo over here," He motions to Trevor, "will be leading the back up team. Hopefully, we'll only need one team, but as I don't trust The Families to be quiet while we do this... that is why we have eleven people here instead of six. As for roles, me and Indigo will be the Masterminds. Faith, you and Red will be the hitters, Remy and Kitty will be the thieves, Iorwen and Star will be the hackers, Dean and Candice will be our grifters, and Dr. Heidi Abbott will be assisting with Sarah." 2D motions to each of the people as he mentions them, motioning to Stella when he say 'Star'. "The main team will be Iorwen, Dean, Remy, Faith... No offense Red, and myself with Heidi joining us when we get Sarah out."
"Now... anyone who wants out may leave now, but me..." he clicks back to the picture of Sarah with her children, "I plan to make sure this family ends up together again. So for anyone still in... " he grabs his hat and puts it on, "let's go steal us a family."
