Gray had since fallen into his new role at the BPRD and between Ianto and the other that he counted as friends things had been going pretty smoothly. Even the new people he'd met where pretty friendly even if a few joked about him being here for more explicit reasons. The jokes were a far sight better then what he was use too ( Read more... )

Tosh was just going to see Jack. She'd decided to wander around the BPRD first, though. It reminded her of the Hub, in some ways, and it comforted her. It brought back bad memories, yes, but it was also soothing.

She hadn't been paying attention when the boy ran into her, so she couldn't be too bad. She looked at him and opened her mouth to apologise as well, but she didn't speak. Tosh was too shocked to speak. She started trembling all over, and as much as she struggled to control it, she couldn't.

"Gray?"

He takes a step back from her when her demeanor change. "I...Do I know you?" A thread of discomfort thread through his stomach.

Toshiko just stares at him, trying to figure out if this is a cruel trick, or if he's playing. Either way, she doesn't trust him and she wants to keep her distance.

"Do you?" Does he really not remember? Not know? She doesn't want to tell him.

The teen frowns stepping a bit closer, studying her. He starts to reach out. "I.."

She shivers, backing up without thinking about it, trying to keep herself calm. "Y-you what?" She's usually so calm and composed.

He jerks back taking a deep breath before frowning again and turning away. Gray doesn't even bother to pick up the box he dropped earlier. Tosh was making him uncomfortable.

Acting on impulse, something she rarely does, she summons her Fae powers and knocks Gray out, trying to stay calm. Until she can get to the bottom of this, she can't let him run free. She moves closer, cautious, and looks down at him.

"I'm sorry," she says to Gray's unconscious body. "I promise you won't be hurt."

Next step is getting him to Fae, which may take some work.

When the spell hits Gray drops hard, the rest of the stuff he'd been carrying scattering around him. He didn't move when she speaks to him. How could he?
