[He's frowning intently when the video feed starts, but he doesn't hesitate to speak. This has been eating at him for a few days now -- and he can't figure it out himself; so finally he thought he might as well ask...
Maybe someone knows.]
How can you tell what's real?
[That's it; he gives a quick nod and cuts the feed.]

Hi!

What're you thinking, asking weird things like that? It's not like you at all.

[He sets the PCD down, speaking slowly at first, his gaze distant.] I've been trying to find something wrong with the other place all week, but so far, it looks just as real as here.
I still think this one is real, but I wanted to know! Because maybe next time it'll be harder to tell....

[Just a little petulant. Just a little.]

[Okay... maybe his attempts to find something wrong have been a little too focused on trying to see or smell or hear something that doesn't fit, and not enough focused on thinking about things that ought to be there.]
No, there's nobody I know....

...I'm really weak in mine, and they won't tell me what happened or how long it's been.

[He pouts haughtily and kicks at the ground.]
If you think me or Leorio or Kurapica or Palm or any of the others would let them do that to you, you really are crazy.

[-- and he shoots Killua a grin.] I wouldn't let them keep you there if you wanted to leave either! Even if they did have nen users.

[Because even if something happened to Gon and the others, his family wouldn't stand for it. No one with the ability to be recognized as a pro-Hunter should be able to end up in a situation like that, not involuntarily. It doesn't make any sense because they can't lawfully hold a Hunter. Most of the Hunters they'd met had probably chosen the position because they were criminally insane and didn't want to get locked away for it.]
You'd probably knock the whole building to the ground.

[It's different if it's just keeping them while they're sick... but not letting them go when they're well enough and they want to, that shouldn't be allowed, right?
He swings his feet back and forth, thinking.]
