Oh! And Happy Halloween!!
So I got a call today from my temp agency with a job offer that I'm seriously considering. It's in Bloomington (+) and is only 20-25 hours a week (- and +). The guy I spoke to briefly on the phone (the woman who originally called me was out and will call me back with more info) said it was basically "scanning documents and making sure the information is correct," so we'll see what the real person with more information says. Oh, and it pays $15/hour (+) and is long term (+). The guy I spoke to said that for this job, most people stay until they find something else or get hired on directly by the company (so there's a possibility for direct hire). Also, he said they're pretty flexible on the hours, and I can probably choose any set 4-5 hour period from 9-5, and there's a possibility for more hours if I want them (+). So yay. It sucks that it's all the way down in Bloomington, but if I start at, like, 10 or so, traffic won't be so bad... And I'll still beat rush hour traffic home! And if I really hate it, I can just work there until I find something better. <3
I'm happier with everyone involved with my workplace right now, since the woman from the temp agency said that Land O' Lakes gave me "rave reviews," and that they'd love to have me work down there. Funny - my first job with Spherion was down in Bloomington. <3 Haha.
So that's good! I hope to hear back from her soon and find out if it's a definite-for-sure thing or if I need to interview, and also when they'd want me to start. <3
But I will miss answering phones... (I won't miss accidentally answering my cell phone with "Good afternoon, Land O' Lakes" though!!)
