how to study

So my internet usage is really restricted in terms of the download limit and it has been for a while. It's really difficult to do 'extra' things like download books and audio/stream videos and not go over the monthly quota, and it probably won't get better short of me getting more of an income. This isn't going to stop me from studying language but argh it's frustrating, particularly for the less popular languages where you kind of need to download stuff from the internet for the best chance of learning anything.

It seems like I'll just have do other things for the time being. When it comes to Japanese at least, there's plenty of other easy things to do, like looking at websites where you don't have to watch vids or download anything. And my old textbooks - I know we didn't cover all of them in class and it's good to revise in any case. And reading fanfiction. XD I've ended up much preferring Japanese Hetalia fic to English. XDDDD I also need to not spend all my time learning passively and do more active stuff, like writing. I remember I started writing a fic in Japanese, clumsy though it may be. Only it's somewhere on my old laptop. Or it's on a usb, one of which got stolen from the library ... I should probably just rewrite it.

And lang-8. I really need to get back there. My blog hasn't been updated in ages. >_>
