keep in mind that a good rule of thumb is to work on yourself and to be comfortable with yourself before thinking about being in a relationship. ideally, you shouldn't need the other person to make you feel complete, but you want them there anyway because they're your best friend and you love them.

see, i want to take this seriously, but it's hard. there's this level of pretention and gravitas that you layer aaaaallllll over yourself and i cannot believe that it's to this level. personally, i think it would be better if you stopped taking yourself so fucking seriously. you'd come off as more relaxed and other people will be more comfortable around you. plus you'd be more relaxed in general. everyone has a "Darkness Beneath the Mask" so it's not like this makes you a special tortured soul or anything. everyone has a side that they don't show to others and the sooner you realize this, the better able you'd be able to deal with your darkness. relax, dude.
