I got the part! I'm so excited to start in with the acting. Though, my script did explode today. Papers and the loose staple on the floor at my feet. I hope that's not a bad sign. Here's the cast:
Elsa: Abby Levis
Ken: Briggon Snow
Kelly: Ryan Griffin
Nikki: Jess Long
Marjorie: Shana Kieren
Eddie: Conor T-izzy
O'Reilly: Matt Pierce
Helsa: Casey Doucette
Bernice: Christy Morrison
The audition went extremely well. I did a monologue from The Breakfast Club. It's the one where Andy (the jock) confesses why he is in detention, and he talks about how he hates his father and cries profusely. I had such a ball putting that together. Dan said that I was "as good, if not better than, Emilio Estevez doing that part." That meant alot to me. I am such a humble person when it comes to acting. I don't think I'm really any good, but everyone else seems to think I'm really great. I dunno what to believe.
A few people that I want to mention who didn't get parts, though they totally deserved them, are Heather, Kim and especially Laura. My heart goes out to you L-dawg. If there was one more part, you'd have it. No question about it. Please consider being the stage manager. You'd totally be able to rock the shit out of the drama club through stage managing, if you can't be on stage with us. All-star for life, you are.
Work is pretty hardcore. I have never worked so hard in my life. Aside from my break, I never get to sit down, at all. I'm folding clothes, or greeting customers, or running the register, or organizing the shelves, or helping people find what they're looking for, or folding clothes, or greeting customers, or... ahh! It's hard! Hahaha, I'm such a bitch about manual labor. But hey, at $6.75 an hour, I can't complain. Here's some things I plan to buy with my first paycheck:
1.) A copy of "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky.
2.) "Elephant" by The White Stripes
3.) "Is This It" by The Strokes ('cause my old copy got stolen from my bag)
4.) "Louder Than Bombs" by The Smiths
5.) Some shirts from work, with my 40% DISCOUNT
6.) A few pairs of UFO's
...And then I'm bankrupt again.
