There are a number of frustrating things about living with my parents. One of the most frustrating things is that, despite my parents having DSL, my mom prefers to get online on her laptop via dial-up. She got in the habit because when she works from home she has to since her company's firewall for some reason does not like our DSL, but now that's the only way she does the internet thing. This means that most evenings, it's difficult for me to use the phone (I got rid of my cell phone over a year ago and only regret it occasionally).
A few weeks ago, I really needed to use the phone, but my mom was online trying to buy plane tickets, so I had her use my computer to make her purchase so I could use the phone. I don't know who she used, but now I'm getting pop-up adds addressing my mother by name on my computer. It's a little wierd.
