I Think I'll Try Defying Gravity ...And You Can't Pull Me Down...
One of my dream roles...to play Elphaba from Wicked. I love this song and lately after all the call back rehearsals I have been having I have been getting more pumped up for this call back and this song just gives me that extra push. I would so love to perform it. I belt it so much on the way home after practice. It just feels great and if you take most of the lyrics in a general context it sends such an amazing message and feeling just by saying "I am going to do this and u can't stop me. I don't care what u say or think. This is me and I will be amazing!" And so on and so forth and well....yeah I am listening to it now so I must write the lyrics cause ugh...so amazing! One of the best new musicals on Broadway (especially the music since it is more modern than that "showzy" b-way stuff) Yeah ....i better stop before i start being repetitive. The original woman who played Elphaba, Idina Menzel, for those who don't know but know RENT ...she is the original Maureen from RENT and her voice in this is amazing. So if ne one appreciates good music and on top of that good broadway music I highly suggesting taking a listen to this song from the show. For some reason this song has been seeming like a good song to listen to for call backs...just to pump myself up and have confidence. Anyway on with the show! or rather...song lyrics hehe.

Anyway back to practicing more for this call back and then sleep so I can get up early to meet up with other people to practice the dance routines for the audition. Yay for tap dancing haha! If I pull this off and actually get something decent...especially if I get the role I want (which would be absolutely amazing and I wouldn't believe it for a split second haha) I would definately feel like I am defying gravity so here's hoping.
