The FULL rules and guidelines are posted on our profile page, please review them as the mods will delete improper posts that are left uncorrected or that contain links to material not permitted in the community.
This community is to help people find scanlations, raws, or just scans and manga on the net. Scanlations are fan translated manga which you can download for free and read from your computer. Be sure to check
this list to see what has been posted here. We are NOT a community for anime or live action series/movie-related posts. Unrelated posts will be deleted.
The Rules in Brief:
• Follow the necessary posting and subject line formats. Those posts that do not and are left uncorrected will be deleted.
• When sharing manga please indicate the mangaka, title, genre and give a short synopsis, if possible. Add the same information (mangaka, title, genre) to the tags.
• Keep posts on-topic. Posts unrelated to scanlations and scan groups/sites, manga (or manhwa or manhua), drama cds, novels, or manga magazines will be deleted without prior notice.
• No unrelated advertising and definitely no money-making. This includes: posts about non-scan/scanlation-related sites, "for sale" manga or other merchandise, links that earn a user money, or ads for websites unrelated to manga scanlations/scans/raws. Posts like this will be deleted on first sight, if you have been using money-making links, your posting access will be removed.
• This should remain the only public post. Any other public posts will be deleted as soon as they are seen by a mod.
• Some groups, scanners and doujin circles have specifically requested their projects are not to be shared in the community. Review the info page or sidebar for a list. Posts that do not comply with these requests will be deleted.
Sanctions for breaking rules include having your posting access temporarily (after 5 "strikes") or permanently removed (after 10 strikes, or after posting links that earn cash), to being banned from the community's membership.
Formatting Guidelines in Brief:
You must begin your subject line with one of the following:
[Request] Title by Mangaka
[Sharing] Title by Mangaka
[Discussion] Subject or Topic
[Question] Subject or Topic
[Recommendations] Subject or Topic
[Advertisement] Subject or Topic
Most people seem to confuse Request vs. Question vs. Recommendations:
Request is for when you're looking for a specific title or mangaka.
Question is for "what is this/who drew this?"
Recommendation is for more general "link me to manga with/about _____" posts.
And don't forget to tag your posts!
We currently do not have the ability to create new tags, so please tag with whichever appropriate tags are already available. If you'll be posting an ongoing series that doesn't have a tag, a mod can rename an old tag for you.
If possible, tag with either manga title or mangaka name (by Lastname Firstname) when sharing/requesting new links. We're also using genre tags where applicable. Full tagging guidelines are
here.
Note: "Help" and "search" are not request tags, "help me!" is a manga title and "!translation" belongs on posts without scanned content (e.g. links to typed translations).
