I just came across this song and I thought it was really neat. I've never listened to it before though. The second half of the first verse just really convicted me of how much I am on the throne of my own heart at many times instead of Jesus. I'm susposed to be the one on the cross --- giving up my life for the honor and glory of Jesus Christ --- instead many times I find myself on the throne of my heart, living for myself.
This is something that as Christans we all struggle with.
The war between the Spirit and the Flesh.
Its easy to get discouraged because of things, people, events in your life that don't go your way. Its easy to looking at something bad that happened and focus on the "I can't believe this happened to me" "lets feel bad for me" side of it... but its hard to look at it and remember that God has a plan for our lives and all the bad that happens is meant for some great purpose. Why's this?... well, because its human to think of ourselves first!
I can't for the life of me understand how people don't believe in God. With each passing day I'm more convinced that He is real. How can one look at this earth and come to the conculsion that God isn't real? I mean, look at the clouds, the mountains, animals, humans... just the way the whole chain of life works... how everything works together perfectly! EVERYTHING human has never created as had flaws!... So then how can anyone expect that this just happaned by chance?!... God is so real!... And He's incredible!
