When I'm let go, things just are as they are. I don't stop myself from having what is there for me, neither do I reach for what isn't quite there yet.
A desire arises and wants to be satisfied. Sometimes the satisfaction is just there; so I pick it up and its mine. Other times I am unfulfilled.
Letting myself go is like having a wild bird land on my shoulder when I don't expect it. If I reach out, grasping for the bird, it certainly flies away.
It's like there are a hundred--or thousands--of birds flying around me all the time. Some may land, others aren't ready to land. This is life.
Letting go is not doing "nothing", it's just making small spontaneous adjustments that bring me to what wants me.
