slightly upset...played new version of life last night...hated it
did research and found out i have the 1963, 100th anniversary (of milton bradly not the game), art linkletter endorsed version of the game.
wiki quote:
"The game was endorsed by Art Linkletter in the 1960s. It is now part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History"
differences include (but are not limited to)
-8 cars as opposed to 6
-500 and 1000 denominations of money
-money actually looks like money
-no stupid life tiles
-u land on ur occupation and salary as one...not picking cards
-spaces tell u when to buy insurance and stock (fire, auto, life)
-revenge spaces
-stock - u can play the market
-poor farm and millionaire acres
-sell children
-bridge toll
-skunk farm, shrunken head collection, elephant
-fee to orphanage
-buildings and mountains dont come out (really big box)
-number line to play market and lucky day
-lucky day
-dont pay occupations
-cards for landing on payday (screw ppl over aka collect)
-life insurance matures
-no borrow for college
-pegs dont look like ppl
-not technicolor yucky board
ok rant over, i feel better
